IBPS Clerk Result 2016 : Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the Result of IBPS Clerk Online Preliminary Examination on December 9, 2016. The IBPS Clerk Result 2016 shows the status of the candidates who have been provisionally shortlisted for the Mains Examination. Aspirants who have appeared in the exam can check their result status until December 16, 2016. To check the IBPS Clerk Result 2016 status, candidates will have to enter their Roll No/Registration No and Date of Birth/Password. The Preliminary Examination of IBPS Clerk was conducted on November 26 & 27 and December 3 & 4, 2016. The scorecard of the candidates who have appeared in the exam will be made available on or before December 17, 2016. Candidates who have secured the overall and sectional qualifying marks have been declared qualified in the Prelims Exam. As per reports, 2 to 3 lakh candidates have qualified the Prelims Examination. Scores obtained in the Prelims Examination will be normalised adopting the equipercentile method. The total score of the Preliminary Examination will be calculated combining the marks of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language.
The Mains Examination of IBPS Clerk will be conducted on December 31, 2016 and January 1, 2017. The Result of which will be declared in the month of January 2017. IBPS will give 100 % weightage to the marks of the Mains Examination. Candidates placed sufficiently high in the merit will be provided allotment in any of the participating banks. The marks of the Mains Examination along with the provisional allotment list will be published in the month of April 2017.

Calculation of Scores under IBPS Clerk 2016
IBPS will adopt the following techniques for calculating score in IBPS Clerk 2016 exam.
- Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying penalty for wrong answers.
- The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent taking care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores.
- Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.
- Final scores in each test are rounded off to up to two digits after the decimal point.

- Step 1: Candidates will have to click the direct link hosted on this page.
- Step 2: In the IBPS Clerk Result window, candidates will have to enter their details such as Registration No/Roll No and Date of Birth/Password.
- Step 3:After entering all the details, the candidates will have to click the ‘Submit’ Button.
- Step 4:The IBPS Clerk Result 2016 will appear on the screen. The result will furnish the total score of the candidates, status, cutoff as per sections and overall, Section-wise mark etc.
